Textile Transfer Coating Lamination Solution| Technical Control’s Dispersion for Environmentally Friendly Water-based Adhesive

Printing is a major form of after finishing of textile fabrics. Many different techniques for textile coatings have been developed on the market covering a wide range of substrates with differing characteristics which including direct printing and transfer coating processes. In direct printing, ink coating is directly applied on to the fabric while in the transfer coating techniques, the coating is applied to a temporary support (release paper, film, etc.) with a subsequent lamination step, in which the film is brought into contact with the textile substrate and detached from the temporary support.

Commonly seen transfer coating techniques including heat transfer and wet transfer, adhesives needed to be applied of both of the process to enhance the adhesion between the textile substrate and the coating during the lamination transfer process.

Lamination can be a challenge when working with flexible materials such as textiles as it need to produce a uniform and stable coating with the desired softness and strength. Technical Control’s waterborne adhesive resin can be used for the formulation of waterborne adhesives in the application of vinyl printing for textile as well as wet lamination with textile substrates. It works better with water-based crosslinkers.
